Professional Development Model
Clinical expertise and professional practice competency are recognized by our Professional Development Model. Entry level nurses begin their career at the clinical I level and are promoted after a designated period of time with satisfactory performance. The clinical nurse II level is our core and promotion to levels III and IV opportunities are available with clinical and professional expertise.
Education and Training
As part of a health science campus, UCSF Medical Center has a long history of education and training and our Department of Nursing is no exception! Educational opportunities abound both through our Department of Nursing Education and via the UCSF School of Nursing.
Through medical center and campus partners, current UCSF nurses have access to complimentary and low cost continuing education.
